History of Academic Excellence

PMA provides academic excellence rooted in the values and traditions of the Catholic Faith and in the charism of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary have been educating children in Hudson, New Hampshire for eighty-two years. The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary have been living out their mission of “education in Faith” especially of children and the poor since 1796.

Our Students consistently score significantly higher than the national average on standardized tests in all academic areas. (Reading, Math, Language, Science, Social Studies, and Spelling)

95% of PMA Jr. High students applying to private or Catholic high schools are accepted.

In the past five years, eight PMA students have been awarded Academic Achievement Scholarships to area private/Catholic High Schools. The schools are: Central Catholic (Lawrence), Academy of Notre Dame (Tyngsboro), Bishop Guertin (Nashua), Phillips Academy (Andover), Lowell Catholic (Lowell). The Scholarships have been both full and partial.

All PMA teachers are NH State Certified and experienced.

Supporting Students' Personal Development

Jr. High students (6th-8th grades) are organized into multi-grade “Houses”. Each house has a mentor (homeroom teacher) and is named after a Saint, has a motto, banner, and student leaders. Students remain in the same “House” for all of their Jr. High school years. The House system at PMA has proven to be a highly successful and positive experience providing community and continuity for our students.

A wide variety of Extra Curricular Activities are offered:
