Exciting news! In addition to the reality of our beautiful athletic field, we will be initiating two new

educational programs to our core curriculum. Beginning this fall, we will introduce an Art Program
and expand our Foreign Language Program. Students in grades PreK-5 will receive a weekly
period of Spanish. Our middle school students already receive 4-5 periods of Spanish on a weekly
basis. Adding Spanish to the elementary curriculum will further enhance the students’ ability to
graduate from PMA having mastered a second language.

Additionally, students in Grades 1-8 will receive art classes on a weekly basis for half a year. So as
not to compromise the CORE CURRICULUM, each class will be split into two small groups; while
one group goes to art for one semester, the other group will go to music. We will structure the library
and the computer classes in the same manner. This will allow us the opportunity to offer the
students Art and Spanish without compromising the time they need for the core curriculum. Students
in grades Pre-K and K will continue to have art classes within the regular classroom setting,
since it is already successfully integrated into the curriculum through their learning activities and
projects..

NEW: PMA ART CENTER
Through the generosity of the Sisters, we have obtained optimal space for our new art center. There
will be ample room to allow the children to carry out their projects. It is our hope that eventually
one of the two rooms which the Sisters have turned over to us will become the home of The PMA
Student Art Gallery—a permanent place where we will be able to display the students’ masterpieces!
Our Art Center will be located on first floor, using the long hallway that leads past the
Sisters’ kitchen and refrigerator areas, into a bright and spacious room, ideal for our purpose. A
second room to expand beyond that is also available to us.

A martial arts program taught by a PMA parent, Tim Bielby,  is offered for children in 1st through 5th grade. This is the eight year that the program has been offered at PMA. The sessions are ongoing and are on Mondays from 2:30-3:30 starting September 19th. Cost is $55/month (September is prorated at $25).

Send in your registration form to reserve your spot.

Mrs. Iaquinta will be directing the school choir for students in Grades 2-8. The fee to join is $75 for the whole year. A choir shirt will be provided. Students sing at PMA events and several venues throughout the year.

Choir practice is from 2:30 - 330 on designated Wednesdays beginning September 14th

Please complete the registration form that was sent home and return by September 14th.
