PMA VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Volunteers comprise a valuable segment of our school family. Their talents in various areas often complement the expertise of the school staff and can enrich our many programs. It is essential that the volunteers keep in mind the importance of their role and bring to it a professionalism and discretion when working with both the students and teachers. Observations and information about individuals or classes learned while serving as a volunteer should not be shared or discussed with anyone other than the school personnel responsible for the well-being of that segment of the school population.
Qualities that are essential to a successful volunteer beyond the particular talent being shared include reliability, openness, punctuality, confidentiality, and a sense of humor.
All volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Training Session which take place several times during the school year. Volunteers are also required to attend a Protecting God's Children class. It is the hope of the school this year to further develop means of assisting and training individuals in their roles as volunteers in order to maximize their efforts and talents.
