2010 PMA SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Participation in the summer reading program is mandatory for all students who will be entering grades 1 through 8. Much care has been taken to assure that the expectations for each grade level are appropriate to the students entering that grade and provide for the different reading levels and interests of the youngsters, as well as literary value.

At each grade level, there is a reading list from which students will select the books to read. There is also some type of report that they must complete for some of the books they will read. Before the children left for the summer vacation, they were given their book lists and the requirements and forms they will need to complete their reports.

Your child?s work will be graded on the completion and the quality of the work handed in. The mark will become part of the first quarter grade for reading/literature.
